One of the most challenging situations after the outbreak of Coronavirus is the reopening of offices across the globe and making sure that it’s safe to work. Although, few of the companies responded to this situation by going into a remote working style for the longer term.

Still, some companies have announced to reopen their offices due to the nature of their businesses. So, the precautionary guidelines for in-house employees working in closed spaces have been prepared based on the prevention measure provided by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). As a matter of fact, few of the companies have added these guidelines as part of the company’s mandatory policies.

So, let’s have a look into the comprehensive guidelines:

  1. Sit at least 3 ft. apart from each other.
  2. Avoid handshaking and any other physical contact.
  3. Wear a mask when sitting in closed spaces with more than one person.
  4. Use video conference call tools instead of face-to-face meetings.
  5. Hold physical group meetings in well-ventilated spaces.
  6. Increase ventilation by opening windows or adjusting air conditioning at your workplace.
  7. Always take precautions and wear a mask when going out.
  8. Take care of your hygiene and change into clean clothes daily.
  9. Monitor your health and take temperature daily.
  10. Drink at least one glass of water every three to four hours daily.
  11. Do not share your physically contacted stuff like drinking mug, glass, or bottle with anyone.
  12. Consume home-cooked food and eat immune-boosting fruits.
  13. Use serving spoons when having group meals.
  14. Cough or sneeze on your elbow and wash or sanitize afterwards.
  15. Use a tissue and dispose of it immediately while coughing or sneezing.
  16. Maintain distance when anyone is experiencing cough and sneeze.
  17. Wash your hands before and after touching your face, eating food, or any other physical contact.
  18. Sanitize your hands after touching light switches, remotes, handles, doorknobs, and biometric system for attendance.
  19. Routinely clean and disinfect all frequently touched surfaces, such as your workstation, keyboards, remote controls, mouse, and similarly others.
  20. Quarantine yourself in case of any Coronavirus case is confirmed among the people living near you.

But Keep In Mind That…

Although, we have the ultimate guidelines to prevent Coronavirus from spreading at the workplace. But the key to keeping the workplace safe is actually in the employee’s hands. Why? Its because practising the provided guidelines is the responsibility of the employees working on-site.
